"Across Lake Elizabeth"

6 x 8 (plein air)

This is literally across the street from my house. There's an empty lot and I just walked to the back. The sun was setting and the bugs were attacking. Trying to get in some plein air practice because I am taking a workshop in a couple of weeks.

This is a big piece. The tops of the palm trees. I'll probably work on this some more at the bottom. I like the bird minding his own business.

"Old Church"

8 x 10 (plein air)
This is an old church on Beth Page road in south Georgia. Some nice friendly people live around the area and stopped to see the painting in progress. Also saw a flock of about ten wild turkeys. Nice quiet Sunday afternoon.

"Urban Meyer"

24 x 24 (Acrylic on cardboard packing box)
Trying to do some protraits after the "Bobby" from a couple of weeks ago. Went to the Florida Alabama game and did this for my niece and her husband. They are big gator fans and recently married. This was done on a cardboard packing box from Restoration Hardware. I thought it was a neat surface and I like the way it came out almost looking like pixels. Good practice.
